Free mafia MMORPG release announcement

How much more Chicago can you get? A free, mafia-based MMORPG called Omerta is releasing its third version in the upcoming weeks.

Started in the Netherlands, Omerta currently boasts of more than 3.5 million players. The new content for this mafia-inspired game comes primarily from player input.
From the website of Omerta 3.0:
Ray in the new Omerta version 3.0

* Hire and train bodyguards that will add other unique benefits as well as keeping you alive
* No more starting from the bottom after a kill. Players will advance a few ranks and retain some items depending upon their rank at the time of death
* New items to help players attack and defend
* A complete overhaul to how players are killed in the game
* Own objects to benefit the whole family. Protect these objects as players from other families try to raid them
* Choose a mentor and join a network to unlock unique features

In the coming weeks, expect a more detailed summary of game play and culture!
