Jumpgate Evolution beta list now exceeds 250k

Waiting for a spot in the Jumpgate Evolution beta? You are not alone. Codemasters Online and NetDevil announced that a quarter of a million people are currently signed up to beta test their new space-oriented MMORPG. Jumpgate Evolution is currently in the "friends and family" stage.

"Our players' enthusiasm continues to exceed our expectations at every milestone and we are extremely excited to achieve such fantastic support," said NetDevil President Scot Brown. "We have thoroughly enjoyed obtaining some valuable feedback from the people in our Friends and Family test, helping us to take the next major step towards launch."

Jumpgate Evolution is a space sim that features 'twitch' combat, which means it will play more like Freespace or similar space combat games rather than having the turn-based non-twitch combat found in many MMORPGs. Players will be able to choose from one of three different nations and engage in both PvE and PvP space combat.
