T-Pain Comes To Outspark's Fiesta

Today Outspark announced that it would introduce a line of branded virtual goods based on the rapper T-Pain into its freemium MMORPG Fiesta Online. This deal is the latest licensing arrangement between Outspark and virtual goods licensee Virtual Greats. Right now players can purchase virtual items representing T-Pain's hat, glasses, and suit from his latest album Thr33 Ringz at Fiesta's in-game item store.

Outspark is also promoting the license with a music video contest that asks Fiesta players to create music videos using select T-Pain songs, Outspark assets, and Fiesta gameplay footage. Winning entries will receive T-Pain albums, iPods, and 10,000 SparkCash virtual currency each. T-Pain is the second celebrity license to be represented with a virtual goods line in Fiesta, following an inaugural line of Tila Tequila items also licensed through Virtual Greats.

In the past, Outspark has teamed with Virtual Greats to bring a line of goods based on the Rocawear designer label into its Project Powder snowboarding MMORPG. Outspark is also promising a line of celebrity brands lined up for its next major online game launch, Dance Groove Online, which will include both music and apparel components.

Virtual Greats has brought celebrity and other IP-branded items into a variety of virtual worlds and online games including WeeWorld, RockYou Pets, Whyville, vSide, and Gaia Online. Virtual Greats has also partnered with the Viximo virtual goods platform to introduce branded items into its portfolio. Licenses handled by Virtual Greats include the NBA, Collegiate Licensing, Snoop Dogg, Justin Timberlake, and Elvis Presley.
