    Final Fantasy XI Tips

  • Easy Gil

Whenever you get Crystals in battle, put them in an auction for about 100 Gil each. You will make good money this way, or you can put them in your bazaar for about 50 Gil each.

When you are at about level 5 (depending on your main job), collect Silk Threads from Crawlers in either East or West Sartabaruta, outside of Windurst. They can sell at the Auction House for 1,000 to 2,000 Gil each.

At 6:00 in upper San 'Doria, the Wood Guild opens. There, you can by Arrowwood Lumber for 7 Gil each. They sell for approximately 100 to 150 Gil each. The Luaun Lumber also makes a profit, but not as much.

This trick requires three party members in Bastok. Behind the lighthouse in South Gustaberg is a bush labeled as "???". There, you can trade a Quus to have Bubbly Bernie spawn. He is not very difficult to defeat and drops a Steam Clock. If you set the second person to Quartermaster and make him wait at the entrance to Bastok Mines, he can run into the auction house and send it to the third person, waiting at the Mog House in Bastok Markets. The third person should take the clock to Malene in the very northern part of the town. She will give you 500 Gil per clock. You can repeat this as many times as desired. Note: You can only hold one clock at a time, but you can have as many as you desired inside your delivery box.

  • Raise White Magic level easily

This trick is useful to level up much needed spells such as Protect, Cure, and Shell. Go to a local residential area and stand directly outside your Mog House. Cast the desired spell on yourself until you run out of MP. You can also cast it on other players running in and out of their Mog House. Once you have run out of MP, run into your Mog House, replenish it, exit, and repeat. This saves a large amount of time from having to heal after casting. You can level up magic by casting the spell on yourself, despite if you already have the enhancement on yourself or have 100% HP. Keep casting and it will level up.

  • Grass Cloth

Synthesis Yagudo Necklace with a Wind Crystal. This will get you three spools of Grass Thread. Synthesis them with Earth Crystal to get Grass Cloth.

  • Sheep Leather

Synthesize a Goblin mask with a Wind Crystal to get a Sheep Leather.

  • Silk Thread

To get Silk Thread very easily, defeat Crawlers in East Sartabaruta.

  • Final Fantasy logo

When you board the airship and the screen is on Steiner in the front of the ship, in the background clouds you can see the Final Fantasy symbol fly by every few seconds.

  • Entering the Zehrun Mines in Bastok Mines

Go to Bastok Mines. Near the left on your map is a circle. Go there and enter the passage to be in Zehrun Mines.

  • Recommended places to level up in San d'Oria

The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar Tips

The recommended place to look for the Tier 1 Prospector Farm is in the Shire. Try creating an alternate Hobbit character and make him an Explorer for his Crafting. This farm has both Prospector materials and Forester materials. Go to the town of Micheal Delving in The Shire. Next, display the world map so it shows the town name Micheal Delving. Find where the "G" in Micheal Delving is. Go to that general area to find at least two or three Prospector Nodes (Tin Deposits and Copper Deposits). Make sure to have your Prospecting Tracker on. There is a mound that you can stand on that will reveal any of the three nodes that appear. By doing this, you can almost instantly run to it and grab the node. An Explorer is also acceptable for this, not only for its Prospecting ability, but also the Forester. Every now and then, Rowan Branches will appear at the bottom of the hill to the right of the building, and at the top near the few trees.

The Lord Of The Rings: The Battle For Middle-Earth Cheats

  • Cheat mode

Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. To edit stats of your skirmish player, use a text editor to edit the "[player name]skirmishstats.ini" file in the "c:\documents and settings\[user name]\application data\my battle for middle-earth files" directory and edit it accordingly.

  • More powerful creatures

To make a Troll more powerful, have it pick up a tree as a club. It is slower, but much more powerful. To make an Ent more powerful, have it to pull boulders out of buildings or rock piles to throw at enemies. This is a very powerful long-range attack.

  • Good army spying in skirmish mode

The Evil factions of the game both have a Spying power they can use. However, Good factions have no spying power. Early in Skirmish mode, recruit the Hobbit available to you. Have him run over to an enemy castle, camp, etc. He should be able to make it to the citadel, unless the enemy is playing a Good faction and has closed the castle gate. Once inside (or outside the gate if it has been closed), activate his Elven Cloak. He will remain there, untouchable by the enemy. By doing this, you will have a permanent spy. Note: If he moves, he will be exposed until he can use his cloak again. When selecting all your units by pressing Q, hold [Shift] and deselect your spy before ordering everybody to move or attack.

  • Bypassing the command point limit

If you have reached your command point limit during a mission, send out a battalion or two (with the Banner Carrier upgrade) of soldiers. Have them fight until there is only one or two men remaining in the battalions/hordes. Then, send them back to your base, near a Healing Well for the Good side. You have just freed up several command points. Your damaged battalions can regenerate. Use this strategy to make up to three battalions of cavalry to raid your opponent with.

  • Defeating Ents

Train a horde of Archers and give them the Fire Arrows upgrade. Send them and shoot the Ent until he is on fire, then run away. He will die in a short time.

  • Defeating Isengard

When you are fighting Isengard, either use Summon Rohan Allies or start out as Rohan. Build a stable and a lot of farms. Close the main gate and build a Postern Gate instead. Build an army of Riders Of Rohan and walk over the Uruk-Hai's. To counter battering rams, use Yeoman or Elven Archers. To counter Warg Riders and Siege Ladders, use Heroes or Sentry Towers. Note: With the riders, just ride over the Uruks. It will either kill or stun them for you to finish. With the riders, try summoning Eomer to the field and give them a bonus or two.

  • Defeating Rohirrim

When Isengard, Pikeman can easily defeat Cavalry if their numbers are similar. However, by combining a Pikeman horde with a Crossbow horde you can have one of the most powerful anti-Cavalry groups there are. Additionally, with Mordor, there really is no cheap way to deal with Cavalry. Trolls and Mumaks are your best bet, considering they have heavy damage with little harm done to them. Try getting creative and putting Orc Archers with fire arrows inside the Mumakil. This can make for a devastating blow to even a castle, and not just enemy soldiers.

  • Strategy for Gondor

An effective siege strategy for Gondor is to build a good sized unit of Tower Guards (four or five battalions recommended) and as many Archers as possible. Put the Archers into one group and the Tower Guards into another. Make sure both groups are fully upgraded if possible, but choose Heavy Armor if you can only have one. Then, put the Tower Guards in front, with the Archers trailing close behind. Once you find an enemy encampment, have your Tower Guards move toward it and put them into Shield Wall formation once they get very close. Your Tower Guards can absorb an incredible amount of damage while in Shield Wall and will take the brunt of enemy attack, leaving your Archers free to wreak havoc.

  • Strategy for Isengard

Similar to Mordor, Isengard relies mostly upon a brute force with some variety. Always have at least six Siege Ladders and three Battering Rams. Make sure to have several combo battalions. Since you haven no castle walls like the forces of good, you will need a few Keeps and Guard Towers. Once you have all of this completed and about 100 to 150 Uruks, begin with the upgrades; they are essential to a swift victory.

  • Strategy for Mordor

Mordor relies heavily on massive armies and blind destruction. However, you are limited to only so many command points you have. You must create variety in your troops when needed. On most levels, you will have to siege some kind of castle. Always have a few Catapults and Battering Rams (a Siege Tower or two would not hurt). Always devote about 50 to 100 command points to siege weapons, as this makes most online players easy prey. For the rest of your command points, make a lot of Orc Warrior-Orc Archer hordes and several Trolls. Once you have this completed, spend your resources entirely on upgrading your troops and base.

  • General strategies

When starting a campaign, build at least two or three Farms or Slaughter Houses. Also, make sure that all your men are guarding the castle (put them all around the base), so that no enemies or trolls attack you.

Hordes/Battalions with a Banner unit should be retreated when only a few remain to allow the ranked unit to regenerate.

Always close your Castle Gate and build a Postern Gate instead.

Try to grab as many of the economy/outpost plots surrounding your base.

Fewer upgraded units are always better than many non-upgraded units.

Build two economy structures per one unit production building.

Build economy structures in the back of the Camp/Castle and build unit production structures in the front.

Small cavalry is better than a large infantry, except against archers.

Do not blindly put any group of soldiers against any enemy soldiers. If you have cavalry, make sure to have archers as back-up against pikemen and the like.

In skirmishes, build a wide variety of hordes, but mainly use Archers and Monsters above Foot Soldiers. Always have all Heroes before an attack. Keep gates closed and heavily guarded. When all allies are defeated, use specials to summon units like Summon Ent Allies or Rohirum Allies. When raided, build as many Orc, Oruk, Gondor, and Rohan archers as possible. When you are outnumbered and other units that you control are far away, run away.

    Star Wars: Galaxies cheats

  • Extra money

Take two delivery missions at the same time that both will end up in the same city (check destination coordinates). Make sure both missions pay at least 500 credits. Then purchase a one way ticket to that city for around 115 credits. You will end up with around 900 credits from two deliveries that really are like one delivery. When in that city, find another mission terminal, and repeat.

  • 144 hotkeys

The bar at the top is for your funciton keys. You can drag it open so you have 24 boxes instead of one. And whether you have 12 or 24 showing, you have six rows of these, which you can scroll through by pressing [Ctrl] + [Tab]. If you have multiple skill, set the special moves of each separate profession on its own bar. For example, if you have four professions, this will leave you with an extra two for the socials/emotes/macros.

  • Thought bubble

To make yourself think instead of talk, type "/think [text]". Your text will appear as a thought bubble instead of speech bubble.

  • Yelling and shouting

Type either "/yell" or "/shout" before what you want to say. It will be yelled or shouted, and can be heard by more people in the chat window (people that are farther away).

  • Tell command

You can communicate with anyone in the game directly, no matter how far apart you are from them by typing "/tell [name] [text]". Note: The [name] part of the command does not have to be their complete name. You can use their first name or part of it. This is also useful in determining if someone not on your friends list is logged on. Use "/tell" and the game will let you know if they are not logged in.

  • Better Medical experience

Learn Organic Chemstry II so you are able to make Stim Packs B.. Then, find a very large group of like ten to twenty and fight extremely difficult units. Use your Stimpacks to gain 100 to 200 experience just from one use. Make sure you look at the group's members health on the left of your screen to learn when someone needs healing and use hotkeys.

  • Killing Lairs

When using a weak characterm kill all monsters around it. Then, attack the Lair once then select "Peace". A unit will spawn, but it will not rush you. This makes it easy to kill. Repeat until four units spawn from the Lair. The maximum number of units allowed to spawn from a Lair is four.

  • Burstrun in water

When you press the hotkey (default) for burstrun, the game always states that you cannot burstrun while swimming. Instead of doing this, when swimming, type "/burst" and it now works.

  • Restore HAM levels for Zabraks

The following tricks may only work for Zabraks, but can be attempted for other species. If one or two of your bars are low (in the white, not black), while sitting, and not in a chair, type "/equilibrium". The game will even out all three of your HAM bars the best it can. Try typing "/vitalize" to boost your adrenaline, giving you an extra 50 in both health and action, and makes all your attributes and skills perform better temporarily. Note: Innate abilities can only be done once per hour.

  • Extra Wilderness Survival experience

Note: This trick works better when there is a high amount of lag in the game. If you are in camp, constantly leave and immediately return. If done quickly enough, when you check your camp status you will notice that current visitor displays more than one. If not done quickly enough, it still will increase the number of visitors, but not current visitors, and this does nothing to effect experience. However, if you do succeed in getting the current visitors to more than one, you will get extra experience for Wilderness Survival. The amount continues to grow the more current visitors you have.
